Founder of STN Studio, an AI implementation studio in Amsterdam. I help founders, management teams, and companies put AI to work—from consultancy and automation to software that becomes part of daily operations.
How I work
I’m Stijn Smit. Through STN Studio, I help teams move from isolated AI experiments to workflows and systems that actually stick.
Technology is rarely the only challenge. The real work is deciding where AI creates value, bringing people into a new way of working, and building something reliable enough to use every day.
That is why I work hands-on with the people who know the process. During consultancy, I map opportunities directly. When a use case is strong enough, I turn it into an agent, automation, or AI-native product—such as a chatbot that answers from your own sources or a dashboard that provides control over model usage.
On the road
120 km of Camino, and an app for your mind.
I am currently walking 120 kilometres of the Camino de Santiago while building an AI app for mental health. No office, no meetings—just the path and the code. It keeps me focused on what matters: technology that genuinely helps people move forward.
My principle
Practical over spectacular.
A solution does not need as much AI as possible. It needs to solve a clear problem, remain controllable, and fit the people who use it. If it cannot do that, it does not belong in production.
What I work on
Help people start. Make systems work.
STN Studio combines advice and building. An engagement does not stop at knowledge, and a build never starts without understanding the real process.
