AI Consultancy
Teams learn to apply AI to their own challenges. At the same time, I make the best opportunities visible and clarify which next step is worth taking.

Founder of STN Studio, an AI implementation studio in Amsterdam. I help founders, management teams, and companies put AI to work: from consultancy and automation to software that becomes part of daily operations.
How I work
I’m Stijn Smit. Through STN Studio, I help teams move from isolated AI experiments to workflows and systems that actually stick.
Technology is rarely the only challenge. The real work is deciding where AI creates value, bringing people into a new way of working, and building something reliable enough to use every day.
That is why I work hands-on with the people who know the process. During consultancy, I map opportunities directly. When a use case is strong enough, I turn it into an agent, automation, or AI-native product, such as a chatbot that answers from your own sources or a dashboard that provides control over model usage.

Walking 127 km and building an app for MIND.
With Max Helmantel and Caesar Schoorl, I walked from Valença to Santiago in six days. Along the way, we built an app that makes mental health easier to talk about: one daily question about how you are doing, answered with a type of weather. No office, no meetings: just the path and the code. We handed the app over free of charge to the Dutch mental health foundation MIND. The project was covered by Quote, Trouw, and Noord-Hollands Dagblad, among others; the documentary premieres on 3 November.
My principle
Practical over spectacular.
A solution does not need as much AI as possible. It needs to solve a clear problem, remain controllable, and fit the people who use it. If it cannot do that, it does not belong in production.
What I work on
Help people start. Make systems work.
STN Studio combines advice and building. An engagement does not stop at knowledge, and a build never starts without understanding the real process.
Automations, software & chatbots
From a controlled workflow to a custom AI-native tool, built around your existing information, systems, and users.
